Some shots of my backyard.

The dogwood at my back door released its petals top form a carpet of white. In the fall, I get to walk on a red carpet for several days. God has ways of making us feel special. We just need to pay attention to His gifts all around us.

So pretty!
I think what I love about gardening the most is how the beautiful flowers that bloom just make my entire soul want to cry out to God and thank Him for such a beautiful gift.
Your flowers are lovely DJ.
Smiles your way from me,

Hi DJ!....I don't think I've enjoyed a Spring like this one....after a hard winter!! Love your irises....I think the cold winters may make them more beautiful! ...and love your bird in the tree!! And your carpet of dogwood is so special....can't have a dogwood where I live....wonder why? Can hardly stand to stay indoors at this time....but when summer comes....I'll be back inside hopefully painting more!! You too?
Your backyard is beautiful, DJ! I love the purple iris's!! They are such magnificent flowers!!!

Your gardens are so far ahead of us here in East Anglia England. Irises are part of our summer display so qite some months before we see them. Now we have tulips, violets, pansies, primroses, with the snowdrops, crocus and daffodils all finished for another year. Lovely photos.
Beautiful irises. Really pretty against the gray house. I love gray.
Do you grow any roses? One of my favorite paintings is Van Gogh's White Roses. He painted iris too. ;) Do you like his art?
DJ, your backyard is enchanting! I love the irises and the hostas too! So sorry you've been sick. Hope you're all better now.
